PRESENT SIMPLEPresent simple is used to describe:
- true information
- factual information
- unchangeable (static) information

(!) When the noun is in plural form, the verb is unchanged. In negative form, plural takes “do not” before the verb. | (!) When the noun is in singular form, -s/-es is added to the verb. In negative form, singular takes “does not” before the verb. |
e.g. Alcohols react with sodium metal to give sodium alkoxides and hydrogen gas. e.g. They do not require high technology. | e.g. The ethene comes from crude oil, which is a non-renewable resource. e.g. This process does not use much energy. |
